KTM 390 Adventure Breaks Cover At India Bike Week 2019

The KTM 390 Adventure is likely to be launched in India in early 2020.

The KTM 390 Adventure is powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder engine

One of the most-awaited adventure bikes, the KTM 390 Adventure has been unveiled at the ongoing India Bike Week 2019. It comes as a disappointment as many eager fans were looking forward to the price reveal of the bike. Nevertheless, the adventure bike is now likely to be launched in early 2020 in the range of Rs. 3-3.25 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The KTM 390 Adventure is powered by the same 373cc, single-cylinder engine that propels the KTM Duke 390. Even the specifications and output figures are the same although the engine is BS6 compliant. The engine produces 43 PS at 9000 RPM, and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. The 390 Adventure also gets a 6-speed transmission, as well as a slipper clutch and the full-colour TFT screen from the Duke 390.

What sets both bikes apart is that the 390 Adventure gets more suspension travel. Upfront is a non-adjustable WP-sourced 43 mm upside-down fork offering 170 mm of travel, and a WP monoshock with 177 mm of rear-wheel travel. Braking duties are handled by ByBre calipers gripping a 320 mm rotor on the front wheel and a 230 mm rear disc, while switchable ABS from Bosch is standard.

The motorcycle also gets switchable traction control as well as an up/down quickshifter as standard. The seat height is 855 mm and the 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel are alloys.
