Land Rover Classic Expands Defender V8 Lineup

Land Rover Classic has expanded its remastered Classic Defender V8 portfolio by introducing the 110 Double Cab Pick-Up body style, giving customers another option through its Works Bespoke customisation programme. The new body style joins the existing 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top and 110 Station Wagon, while the company has also added the 90 Hard Top to the list of available configurations.

The latest announcement is accompanied by a one-off commission from a single client, who ordered a matching collection of four Classic Defender V8 models. The vehicles include a 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top, 110 Station Wagon and the newly available 110 Double Cab Pick-Up, all finished in a bespoke Spectral Green paint that shifts between green, purple and gold depending on lighting conditions and viewing angle.

According to Land Rover Classic, each vehicle underwent an extensive paint process that required nearly 400 hours of preparation, colour application and finishing. The custom exterior theme is complemented by an Icy White roof, expedition cage, bonnet lettering and hand-painted coachlines. Matching Spectral Green accents have also been applied to the alloy wheels, badging and selected interior trim pieces.

Inside, the vehicles feature Bridge of Weir semi-aniline leather upholstery in Vanilla with green contrast stitching. Leather-bound carpets and branded floor mats further distinguish the bespoke interior specification.

The commission highlights the capabilities of Land Rover Classic’s Works Bespoke division, which allows customers to personalise almost every aspect of their vehicle. Buyers can request unique paint colours inspired by personal items, landscapes or other vehicles, along with a wide range of exterior, interior and equipment choices.

Every Classic Defender V8 starts life as an original Defender built between 2012 and 2016 before undergoing a comprehensive restoration and upgrade process. The remastered models are powered by a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 405 PS and receive a series of performance-focused mechanical enhancements developed specifically for the programme.

Land Rover Classic has also introduced several new optional features for future commissions. A newly developed 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, along with DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a 13-band equaliser. Customers can also opt for a discreetly integrated reversing camera with a built-in lens washer.

Further personalisation options now include additional roof colours, new finishes for the heavy-duty 16-inch Wolf wheels and a Trophy Pack that adds gloss black exterior elements to contrast with the chosen body colour.

With the addition of new body styles and technology features, Land Rover Classic continues to broaden the scope of its remastered Defender programme while offering customers greater flexibility to create highly personalised versions of the iconic off-roader.
