Mahindra e2o Discontinued After e2oPlus Launch

With the halt of the e2o, maybe Mahindra is planning to make some updates to its recently launched e2oPlus.

The new e2oPlus has more interior space as compared to the e2o

Mahindra has launched an updated version of its electric vehicle e2o, which is named as e2oPlus. Overcoming the drawbacks of its older version, the e2oPlus has been designed with larger dimensions and is more equipped than the previous model. Notably, the company has withdrawn its older electric vehicle, the e2o from its list of offerings. Mahindra may not have found it sensible to continue the older trim after the launch of the updated model.

Recently, MotorBeam reader Sachin Prabhakaran spotted a unit of the Mahindra e2oPlus covered with camouflage, in Bangalore. Perhaps, the company is planning to make some more exterior updates or further development of the engine to improve its efficiency. There is even the possibility of the company launching a new trim in the near future.

The e2oPlus has been introduced with various improvements including the increased range of 140 kms on a single charge. It also consists of fast charging feature by which the battery gets almost completely charged within a span of an hour. A better cosmetic makeover has been given to it, as compared to the previous version. The Mahindra e2oPlus is available in four variants – P2, P4, P6 and P8. The top speed of the e2oPlus, as the company claims, is 85 km/hr.

The Mahindra e2oPlus has been priced at Rs. 5.46-8.46 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has two more electric vehicles in its line up and they are the eVerito and eSupro.
