Mahindra has outlined an expanded product roadmap extending to FY31, signalling a stronger push in both the SUV and light commercial vehicle (LCV) segments. The updated plan reflects the company’s intent to sustain steady growth while strengthening its presence across key categories.
In the SUV space, the automaker is targeting the launch of approximately 15 new models by FY31. This includes a mix of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric offerings, with 9 petrol and diesel SUVs and 6 electric SUVs forming part of the pipeline. The company has already rolled out several models from its earlier roadmap and is now adding more products as it extends timelines and refines its strategy.
According to Rajesh Jejurikar, the revised plan builds upon earlier commitments made in 2024. While some previously announced models are yet to be introduced, Mahindra has added fresh launches to the pipeline, effectively increasing the number of upcoming vehicles over the next few years.
The company currently holds a strong position in India’s SUV market, supported by consistent demand and a focused portfolio strategy. Its growing share in this segment is expected to benefit further from the introduction of both ICE and EV products, catering to a broader customer base.
In parallel, Mahindra is significantly expanding its LCV lineup. The company has increased its planned launches in this segment compared to earlier projections, aiming to introduce a total of around 10 new LCVs by FY31. This marks a notable scale-up from its initial roadmap and underlines the importance of the commercial vehicle business in its overall growth plans.
The broader strategy revolves around maintaining a steady cadence of product introductions, complemented by capacity enhancements and portfolio diversification. This approach is expected to support volume growth and help the company consolidate its market position in the coming years.
