Mahindra adds Thar Roxx Star Edition with cosmetic updates and RWD
Mahindra has added a new variant to the Thar Roxx line-up with the introduction of the Thar Roxx Star Edition, priced from Rs. 16.85 lakh (ex-showroom) on an introductory basis. The new edition focuses on aesthetic updates inside and out while retaining the mechanical package of the standard Roxx.
The Thar Roxx Star Edition features a darker interior theme with black leatherette seats that use suede inserts. On the exterior, piano black trims have been applied to the grille and alloy wheels. A new paint option called Citrine Yellow has been introduced alongside existing colours Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black.
There are no changes to the engine or drivetrain. The Thar Roxx continues with the G20 TGDi mStallion 2.0-litre turbo petrol and D22 mHawk 2.2-litre diesel engines. The petrol unit produces 177 PS and 380 Nm while the diesel develops 175 PS and 400 Nm. 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes are offered and all Star Edition variants use rear-wheel drive.
The Thar Roxx was launched in 2024 and has since positioned itself as a lifestyle-focused SUV in Mahindra’s portfolio. The model has received multiple automotive awards including Indian Car of the Year 2025.
Introductory ex-showroom pricing for the Thar Roxx Star Edition is Rs. 16.85 lakh for the diesel manual Rs. 17.85 lakh for the petrol automatic and Rs. 18.35 lakh for the diesel automatic.
