Mahindra’s new XUV 3XO RevX trim adds features and style at value pricing
Mahindra has expanded its XUV 3XO lineup with the introduction of a new RevX trim, targeting buyers seeking enhanced value and visual appeal. The new RevX variants, exclusively petrol-powered, are priced between Rs. 8.94 lakhs and Rs. 12.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), and offer both cosmetic upgrades and additional features over their standard counterparts.
The RevX lineup includes four variants – RevX M, RevX M(O), RevX A and RevX A AT. Positioned strategically, the RevX M undercuts the MX2 Pro by Rs. 60,000, despite offering more features. Similarly, the RevX A variant is priced Rs. 60,000 higher than the AX5 but justifies the premium with added equipment.
Under the hood, the RevX M and M(O) variants are powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 111 HP, paired with a manual transmission. In contrast, the higher RevX A and A AT come equipped with a more powerful 131 HP, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
Visually, the RevX variants distinguish themselves with subtle exterior tweaks. All RevX models feature blacked-out 16-inch wheels – alloy for RevX A and steel with covers for RevX M – along with a body-coloured grille and unique dual-tone paint schemes. Five dual-tone combinations are available, including options like Tango Red with a black roof and Nebula Blue with a grey roof.
Inside, all RevX trims receive standard black leatherette seat covers, contributing to a sportier dual-tone interior look. While the safety package remains consistent with the base variants they are based on, the RevX versions add several useful comfort features.
The RevX M enhances the equipment list over the MX2 with a height-adjustable driver’s seat, adjustable rear headrests, and a center armrest with cupholders. The RevX M(O) further includes a single-pane sunroof. The RevX A builds on the AX5’s mid-spec equipment with a panoramic sunroof while retaining features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, tyre pressure monitoring system, auto headlamps and wipers, and a rear-view camera.
However, the RevX variants do miss out on some of the high-end features found in the top-tier AX5L and AX7 trims. Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), 360-degree camera, auto-dimming IRVM, electronic parking brake and a cooled glove box remain exclusive to the higher trims.
With the new RevX line, Mahindra aims to strike a balance between affordability, features and style, offering buyers a more appealing package at competitive pricing within the XUV 3XO range.
