The recall will aim to fix the intercooler hose cracking issue of the Mahindra XUV300

Utility vehicle major Mahindra is believed to have initiated a recall for XUV300 diesel variants, that are BS6-compliant, rather inconspicuously.

The automaker seems have found that the intercooler hose of the compact SUV with an oil burner under the bonnet is prone to developing cracks over time.

As the defective hose will have to be replaced through the silent recall, Mahindra XUV300 owners have been requested to get their vehicles checked at a dealership near to them.

It is not known if a formal announcement regarding the same will be made by the automaker, but the fix should be fairly simple and will be done free of charge.

A more powerful version of the car is being prepared

The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel motor of the compact SUV makes 117 PS and 300 Nm of torque and can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or an AMT.

While the car can also be had with a 110 PS and 200 Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, recent developments suggest that the automaker will introduce a 130 PS and 230 Nm version of the same engine in all of the variants the XUV300 is offered in, soon.
