2019 Maruti Baleno Price

Maruti is conducting a free service campaign for the Baleno to solve an ABS software issue.

Cars manufactured between 6th December 2018 to 4th February 2019 need to be inspected

Maruti Suzuki has announced a service campaign for the Baleno to inspect and update the modified software for the ABS actuator assembly. Around 3757 units of hatchback manufactured between 6th December 2018 to 4th February 2019 are up for inspection. Maruti claims that this issue does not impose a safety threat for the owners and therefore, this campaign is not a recall for the vehicles.

An ABS actuator is a hydraulic device that communicates with the ECU to control brakes under emergency situations. The car manufacturer says that the campaign is issued so that the customers do not face any inconvenience due to the faulty ABS actuator. Customers that have purchased the Baleno, can enter their chassis number and find out whether their car has been affected by the issue on this site, MarutiSuzuki.com.

The Maruti Baleno has received a minor facelift in January 2019, therefore, the majority of the units affected by the faulty ABS actuator might be updated and sold. The vehicle comes with a starting price of Rs. 5.45 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), and the updated version comes with a redesigned front grille, new 16-inch alloy wheels, a new front bumper and redesigned tail-lights. The interiors also come with black and blue inserts along with chrome inserts around the AC vents and centre console. A new 7-inch infotainment system is also offered. The vehicle also gets updated safety features like front passenger seatbelt reminder, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, etc.
