Maruti Ciaz Gets Patented In China, India Launch In July

Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its new-mid size sedan Ciaz in the Indian market most probably in July. The Ciaz is going to replace the slow selling SX4 in the Indian market and is expected to give stiff competition to contenders like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Nissan Sunny, Renault Scala, etc. The C-segment is one of the most popular segments in the Indian market which is also having a consistent growth year by year.

Few images of the patented version of the Suzuki Ciaz have emerged on the web and from the images, we can say that the Ciaz has an excellent exterior design and will surely make its competitors to go back to their drawing boards. The Indian automaker has started testing the new mid-size sedan and we were spotted the test mule on Indian soil recently. The new vehicle from Maruti is based on the Authentics concept which was showcased by Suzuki last year.

The new renderings of the Ciaz gives us an idea that the production version of the Ciaz will be more or less similar to the concept which was showcased earlier at the Auto Expo. The Ciaz will feature class leading interior space as well as the interiors will be slightly different from the current offerings from Maruti. The new car will be available with a 1.4-litre K-Series petrol motor which currently does duty on the Ertiga as well as the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine sourced from Fiat.
