Maruti Jimny 5-door has finally launched in India after waiting for years, it comes with a starting price of Rs. 12.74 lakhs (ex-showroom). Check out the complete price list in the table below.

Compared to the petrol 4WD variants of the Mahindra Thar, the Maruti Jimny is around Rs. 1 lakh less expensive. However, the target audience of both the cars is a little different.

Maruti is offering 4WD as standard across both the variants Zeta and Alpha that are available in both manual and automatic transmissions. For a dual tone shade (black roof) you need to shell out Rs. 16,000/- more.

Powering the Jimny is a K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 105 HP and 134.2 Nm of torque. It is available with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options.

It comes with ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) with low range transfer gear (4L mode) as standard. The Jimny returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.94 km/l for 5-speed MT and 16.39 km/l for 4-speed AT.

Some of the features include LED projector lamps with washers, 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys speakers, rear camera, etc.

In terms of safety it gets 6 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist function, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Brake Limited Slip Differential, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, ISOFIX, etc.
