Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Base Variants Will Get Body Coloured Bumpers

The Black-coloured door handles are the only drawback on the sides

Ahead of launch, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 spotted with Black door handles, could be the STD or LXI variant

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the next generation Alto K10 on 18th August and, ahead of the launch, what looks like the STD or LXI variant has been spotted at a dealership yard. The aspect that immediately caught our attention was the body-coloured bumpers.

Maruti Suzuki traditionally has the habit of offering ugly Black bumpers on the base variants of its small cars with as much cost-cutting as possible to deter people from buying them.

The design is flowy and sedate

The company went to the epitome of cost-cutting when it failed to offer body-coloured bumpers even on the LXI variants of S-Presso that cost about Rs. 5.91 lakhs (on-road) in some cities.

But, now, it seems, the company has taken note of customers’ high expectations and has offered body-coloured bumpers on the base variants of the upcoming Alto K10. The Black door handles could mean the spotted car is most likely to be the STD variant.

The honeycomb grille looks cool

So, pasting aftermarket chrome door handles and adding wheel covers will be more than enough to make this hatchback complete on the outside for those on a tight budget. Though the car lacks even the provision for fog lamps, the large honeycomb grille makes up for it.

To spice things further, there’s also a roof-mounted spoiler on the spotted base variant. The design is flowy and sedate without any detailing. It will be a good no-nonsense car offering great value especially for first time buyers.

Black coloured steel wheels would have been a nice touch

Maruti Suzuki has officially commenced bookings for the car for a token amount of Rs. 11,000/-. Customers can book at any Maruti Suzuki Arena dealership or by logging on to https://www.marutisuzuki.com/alto.

Coming to the revealed variants of the upcoming Alto K10, there are a total of 12 variants on offer – STD, STD (O), LXI, LXI (O), VXI, VXI (O), VXI+, VXI+ (O), VXI AGS, VXI (O) AGS, VXI+ AGS, VXI+ (O) AGS.

There’s a roof-mounted spoiler

Power comes from the latest K10C 998 cc engine that churns out 65.7 HP. The length, width, and height are 3530 mm, 1490 mm, and 1520 mm respectively. There are a total of 6 colours on offer.

With over 4.32 million customers in the last 22 years, the Alto is among the most influential car brands in the country. The third generation model is built on the signature Heartect platform and Maruti Suzuki claims it has very low NVH levels.
