Maruti Suzuki Victoris Achieves 5-Star Global NCAP Rating [Video]

Maruti Suzuki Victoris earns 5-star Global NCAP rating with strong safety scores

Maruti Suzuki’s latest midsize SUV, the Victoris, has earned a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, marking the first time a model from the brand has achieved top scores in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). The achievement comes shortly after the SUV also secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, further strengthening its safety credentials.

Crash Test Performance

The Victoris recorded an AOP score of 33.72 out of 34, alongside a COP score of 41 out of 49. Its bodyshell integrity was assessed as stable during testing.

Child Occupant Safety

The SUV also excelled in COP evaluations:

Both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies received maximum scores for side and frontal protection when tested with child restraint systems.

Safety Equipment

The Victoris comes with an extensive standard safety package, including six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX mounts and seatbelt reminders for all passengers. Higher trims add features such as a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and Level 2 ADAS functions.

The Victoris scored 5 star rating in Bharat NCAP crash test as well. With these results, the Victoris becomes a significant milestone for Maruti Suzuki, highlighting the company’s growing emphasis on safety in the Indian market.
