Mercedes Concept A Saloon Revealed, Looks Desirable

Mercedes has unveiled the A-Class sedan concept in Shanghai , based on the MFA2 platform.

The Concept A saloon looks enticing

Mercedes has had the CLA entry-level sedan in its portfolio, but now the automaker sees some market for the A-Class sedan as well. Mercedes has showcased the Concept A saloon in Shanghai and it looks very desirable. The concept dons the updated “Sensual Purity” design language from Mercedes.

The concept measures 4570 mm in length, 1870 mm in width, 1462 mm in height and is based on the Mercedes MFA2 platform. All the compact products from Mercedes, i.e. the A-Class, B-Class, GLA and CLA shall underpin this same MFA2 platform in the future. It also features the Panamericana grille with vertical slats and a sportier body kit that could feature on the car’s AMG versions.

The A-Class sedan is expected to be launched in late 2018 or early 2019 in the international markets, the India launch is however not evident yet. When it comes to India, expect this sedan to lock its horns with the Audi A3.
