MG Hector Facelift Spied, Launch In Early 2021

Changes are subtle but the radiator grille on the SUV is new

Only a year after the launch of the MG Hector, spied images of its facelift have already surfaced online.

Spotted in Vadodara, the spied car does not have any camouflage and it would probably not need it since changes made to the model have been subtle.

There is a new front grille which is smaller in size with a different mesh pattern. Also, the MG Hector facelift spied images show that the SUV has new 18-inch alloy wheels. Further, the red trim connecting the tail lights is not present. No other changes can be seen on the car.

When SAIC launched the Baojun 530 facelift in the Chinese market last year with a different front profile sporting updated DRLs, grille, bumper and front lip, it was expected that the Hector (essentially the Baojun 530’s twin) will also receive the same set of updates.

However, it seems that the automaker has saved the major update for later. Since the Hector has only been around for a short while, MG only plans to give it a subtle refresh. Launch of the MG Hector facelift is expected to happen by early next year.
