Mitsubishi Outlander Gets A Steep Price Cut

The Mitsubishi Outlander is now priced at Rs. 26.93 lakhs (ex-showroom pan India).

The SUV now gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system

Mitsubishi did not offer a single new car in India for 6 years. It was in June 2018 that the company broke its dry spell and launched the new Outlander SUV at Rs. 31.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) years after it was discontinued in India in 2013. However, due to the steep price tag, the SUV failed to attract a lot of buyers. In just a year, Mitsubishi has cut the price flat out by around Rs. 5 lakhs bringing the cost down to Rs. 26.93 lakhs (ex-showroom pan India).

The Mitsubishi Outlander enters the Indian market as a completely built unit and gets a more premium design language and added features. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto. Previously, it got a smaller 6.1-inch basic unit.

Mitsubishi is yet to announce if the Outlander will be upgraded to meet the stringent BS6 norms effective 1st April 2020.

The 7-seater SUV rivals the likes of the Ford Endeavour (Rs. 29.20 lakhs), Skoda Kodiaq (Rs. 33 lakhs), Toyota Fortuner (Rs. 27.83 lakhs) and the Honda CR-V (Rs. 28.27 lakhs) in India, all prices ex-showroom.
