New Gen Tata Nexon Spotted Testing, Launch Timeline?

It has a very similar silhouette

New gen Tata Nexon spied testing for the first time

New gen Tata Nexon has been spotted for the first time. The compact SUV will get its second generation that will come with drastic changes inside out.

The new Nexon has a similar silhouette when compared to the current model on sale. The prototype spotted here looks like the EV version of the car, notice the completely wrapped front profile, or we might be wrong.

It will come with a redesigned hood, headlights, bumper and grille. The side profile will get some tweaks in terms of cuts and creases and new alloy wheel design. The rear looks sleeker than before having a clean tailgate design with a sharp edge.

We can expect some major changes inside as well. The dashboard will get redesigned for a fresh appeal. The new age digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system that was showcased at the Auto Expo is likely to be offered her. Along with this the Indian carmaker will throw a lot of new features and goodies to lure the buyers.

Under the hood we can expect some changes, like a new turbo petrol engine option and a more powerful electric powertrain for the EV version with a longer range. Tata Motors will mostly continue to offer the diesel engine option.

We are not sure if Tata Motors has given it a new platform or is it the same platform with some changes. It will compete in the crowded compact SUV segment which includes Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

While it is currently under its initial phase of testing. We believe the new gen Nexon will hit the showrooms by 2024.

Expected to launch by 2024
