New Honda SUV Bookings Open?

Dealer level pre-bookings have commenced

New Honda SUV bookings open at dealer level

Honda is planning to launch their new midsize SUV in India this year and some dealers have even started taking the bookings! The new SUV was teased just before the 2023 Auto Expo.

Now these are unofficial pre-bookings that some dealers are accepting across the country. Currently the SUV is undergoing testing, we have spotted multiple prototypes of late.

It’s quite rare that you spot a Honda car on test in India. This means they are betting big on their upcoming SUV by leaving no stone unturned. This SUV is a very important product for the Japanese carmaker in India. It will help get them numbers if accepted well in the market.

The styling seems to be inspired by the Honda HR-V sold in the international markets. Interior will share a lot of components with the existing lineup. However, you can expect some new features and styling bits that you haven’t seen from Honda yet.

Honda will be offering both 1.5-litre i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid engine. Both the powertrains will be borrowed from the City. There will be no diesel on offer.

The company will soon discontinue the WR-V, Jazz and the 4th gen City from their portfolio. Going forward, they will only offer the Amaze, City and the upcoming SUV in India.
