Nissan Magnite Launched, Priced From Rs. 4.99 Lakhs

It is a good-looking compact SUV with no bad angles

Nissan has launched the Magnite compact SUV with a starting price tag of Rs. 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Plausibly the most important launch for Nissan in quite some time, the Magnite comes as a feature-loaded high-riding urban car that also has plenty of practicality due to its SUV shape.

There are plenty of features on board too, including an 8-inch touchscreen, 7-inch driver’s digital cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear-view camera, push-button start/stop, 360-degree Around View Monitor, automatic AC, among plenty others.

Not to forget the tech pack that will add a bit more kit for extra cash. Exterior features offered on the top-spec car include LED headlights, 16-inch alloys, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, roof rails, skid plates, and so on.

Two engine options are on offer with the Magnite – 1.0-litre NA petrol motor that puts out 72 PS at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm ar 3500 RPM and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit churning out 100 PS at 5000 RPM and up to 160 Nm at 2800-3600 RPM.

A sole 5-speed manual transmission does duty on the NA petrol equipped cars, while the turbo variants can also be had with an X-Tronic CVT, in addition to the manual.

Safety-wise, Nissan Magnite price gets customers TPMS, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, TC, HSA, Hydraulic Brake Assist and Vehicle Dynamic Control.
