Land Of Rising Sun Gets Special Range Rover SV Golden Edition

The colour combination is spot on

The Range Rover SV Golden Edition features a special paint scheme

Range Rover has announced a new ‘SV Golden Edition’ exclusively for the Japanese market and only 5 units of the special edition model will ever be made.

Priced at ¥23,218,000 (Rs. 1.52 crore), the Range Rover SV Golden Edition has been created by the brand’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) department.

Having taken the regular Range Rover, and surprisingly not the long-wheelbase model, the SVO team gave the car a bespoke paint scheme with blue being the predominant colour and gold used for contrast.

The side vents, door trim, front vents, air dam and tailgate all feature gold-coloured elements, while all the pillars are blacked out as well.

The long-wheelbase model was not chosen for this edition

Inside, the limited edition model comes with a black-themed cabin with perforated semi-aniline leather seats and as one would expect, the materials used are of high quality.

Based on the Autobiography grade, the Range Rover SV Golden Edition features LED lighting units, a panoramic sunroof and 22-inch alloy wheels on the outside.

Whereas, inside, there is a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument display, another touchscreen for the climate control, a cooler in the centre console, head-up display and air ioniser.

The Range Rover also comes with an activity key and a Driver Assist Pack which adds features such as the 360-degree parking aid, clear exit monitor and adaptive cruise control with steering assist.

Those 22-inch wheels suit the car rather well

Power comes from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 good for 558 BHP and 700 Nm of torque and of course, the car gets all the off-road goodies too.

This Golden Edition will likely be the current generation Range Rover’s swansong in Japan as the carmaker is set to globally unveil the next generation model based on the MLA architecture by the end of this year.
