RE Himalayan FI Launched In The US & Thailand

Royal Enfield Himalayan BS4 Price

Royal Enfield has started accepting bookings for the bike and deliveries will commence by early 2018.

Royal Enfield Himalayan was launched in India in early 2016

With the Royal Enfield Himalayan, India got its first full-fledged serious adventure tourer which won many hearts in the country. After being on a hiatus due to not being compliant with modern emission norms, the Himalayan was relaunched in India with a BS4 compliant mill, a few days back. It now comes with more efficient fuel-injection technology and this revised version of the Himayalan has now been launched in the US and Thailand.

The British bikemaker has introduced the Himalayan FI in both the countries with highly affordable price tags. While it costs 169,000 Baht (around Rs 3.33 lakh) in Thailand, it is to be retailed at $4499 (around Rs 2.9 lakh) in the US. It will be delivered to buyers of both the countries in the first half of 2018. Same as for India and European countries, the Himalayan will be manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant for the US and Thailand as well.

As an entry-level adventure tourer, the Royal Enfield Himayalan offers all the essentials expected from such motorcycles. The tall aesthetics efficiently manoeuvre all the hurdles thrown at it while being off the road. Moreover, its grunty 411cc, single cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled engine churns out 24.5 BHP at 6500 RPM and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4500 RPM. In both the countries, the motorcycle has been launched with unchanged specifications.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan stands as the most affordable offering in its segment in the US. Its rivals include the BMW G310 GS, Kawasaki Versys X-300 and Honda CRF250L Rally which are all around $800 to $1000 costlier as compared to the Himalayan.
