Recently Patented Honda Bike Isn’t Unicorn 150, Likely A 100cc

Recently patented Honda bike isn’t the Unicorn 150, is likely a new 100cc offering from Honda.

Honda has patented the headlamp cowl of the 100cc motorcycle

Honda has recently patented a motorcycle and there have been wide speculations that it could be the facelifted Unicorn 150. Looking at the patented bike’s images, it doesn’t look quite like the facelifted Unicorn 150 due to various reasons. The patented motorcycle looks similar to the Honda CB150F sold in Pakistan while the tank is quite similar to the CB Twister.

First of all, the motorcycle does not sport a rear monoshock suspension and Honda in no dreams would think of a facelifted Unicorn 150 without a rear monoshock as it offered a rear monoshock 12 years back on the Unicorn 150. Second the design, Honda has kept the styling of the bike unaltered since its launch, and Honda would not think of altering its appearance since it’s already been so well accepted by Indian customers.

Third, the patented motorbike also does not feature a front disc brake and it is simply impossible to imagine an updated Unicorn 150 without a front disc. With the CB Shine doing well in the 125cc segment and Honda not getting volumes from the Dream series offerings, this is all likely to be a 100cc motorcycle.
