Renault Duster Anniversary Edition Launched

Renault has launched the anniversary edition of the Duster in India. This move comes in a way to grab some attention to push the sales of the compact SUV. There are various reasons for Renault to launch the special edition Duster. First and foremost, the declining sales of the Duster in the recent past due to the entry of Ford EcoSport in the Indian market with an aggressive price package. Then there’s the Nissan Terrano, which is exactly like the Duster but with an extensively revised exterior, grabbing tremendous attention. Many of us are also waiting for the Duster facelift, which is due for an early 2014 launch.

Renault India has launched the anniversary edition Duster with cosmetic changes as we usually see on many special edition models in India. It comes with a new Cosmos Blue colour exterior, which looks striking. In addition to the new colour, Renault has also added body graphics reading ‘1st Anniversary Edition’. Rest of the body remains unchanged including the interiors. The anniversary edition is based on the range topping Duster 110 PS diesel RxZ option pack version, which means you get MediaNav system that has integrated navigation with Bluetooth connectivity.

Apart from the new colour, there are no additional features and the mechanicals also remain unchanged. Powering the Duster anniversary edition is a 1.5-litre k9k diesel engine that produces 108 BHP of power with 248 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Under the ‘Expert More, Get More’ offer, Renault is offering exchange benefits of up to Rs. 60,000/-, additional two years warranty, free roadside assistance for four years and free ‘Gang of Dusters’ community membership.
