Renault India has broadened the Kiger lineup with the introduction of new variants aimed at offering greater choice across powertrain and feature combinations. The updated range includes the addition of the Evolution+ trim and a new manual transmission option for the Techno Turbo variant.
Positioned above the Evolution variant, the new Evolution+ grade is available with three engine-transmission combinations. Buyers can choose between the naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engine paired with either a manual gearbox or an AMT, while the turbocharged petrol engine is offered with a manual transmission. Prices for the Evolution+ variant start at Rs. 6.99 lakhs and go up to Rs. 7.89 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The naturally aspirated petrol engine develops 71 BHP and 96 Nm of torque, whereas the 1.0-litre turbocharged unit produces 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Renault has equipped the Evolution+ variant with features such as automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, driver seat height adjustment and upgraded fabric upholstery.
Another notable update is the introduction of a five-speed manual gearbox for the Techno Turbo variant. Previously available only with a CVT automatic transmission, the Techno trim can now be purchased with a manual transmission at a lower price point. The Techno Turbo MT is priced at Rs. 8.45 lakhs (ex-showroom), making it more accessible for buyers who prefer manual gearboxes while retaining the variant’s feature set.
With the latest additions, the Kiger portfolio now comprises Authentic, Evolution, Evolution+, Techno and Emotion trims. Renault has expanded both the naturally aspirated and turbocharged variant lineups, offering customers a wider range of choices across different budgets and preferences.
The Renault Kiger continues to be priced between Rs. 5.81 lakhs and Rs. 10.35 lakhs (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and powertrain selected.
