Suzuki Ertiga Crossover Unveiled At IIMS

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has taken off very well in the India market, resulting in a huge waiting period already. The Ertiga is a compact MPV, which Maruti Suzuki prefers to call a LUV (Life Utility Vehicle). Maruti Suzuki has also launched the Ertiga in Indonesia, where the vehicle is doing very well. Suzuki is known for developing various concepts for motor shows. Now Suzuki has developed the Ertiga Crossover Concept, which it has showcased at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS).

The Suzuki Ertiga Crossover Concept gets an aggressive looking front end with new bumpers and grille. LED lights have been added as well and the Ertiga does look muscular. At the side, there are black colored side skirts along with bigger wheels. The rear gets a new bumper and rear spoiler along with twin tail pipes. These minor changes do transform the looks of the Ertiga massively. Underneath the Ertiga is the same 1.4-litre M14A petrol engine which produces 94 BHP.

While we are quite uncertain about the Ertiga Crossover Concept making it to production, we hope Maruti Suzuki does a limited run of the vehicle. The company could also offer a body kit for the Ertiga at the dealer level, which could become very popular with Ertiga enthusiasts. Could Maruti Suzuki use the Ertiga Crossover as a temporary measure till their compact SUV, XA Alpha goes into production? We doubt but we hope they bring the Ertiga Crossover to Indian showrooms soon.
