Suzuki Launches Jimny Street Limited Edition in Italy

The Suzuki Jimny gets a new Street Limited Edition model in Italy; comes with feature add-ons and colourful exteriors.

The Suzuki Jimny completes 17 years of sales yet we are waiting for it in India

The Suzuki Jimny is a very iconic vehicle and it has been on sale since more than 17 years. The vehicle received a minor facelift in 2014 and now the Japanese automaker has launched the Jimny Street Limited Edition in Italy. This limited edition looks very funky thanks to its catchy colour scheme and of course the Jimny’s quirky looks itself. This limited edition will be available only in the Italian market and production has been limited to just 100 units, unlike the thousands of limited editions that get manufactured for the Indian market.

The 2015 Suzuki Jimny Street Limited Editiom comes in Pearl White colour and Grey dual-colour livery. It gets bright orange accents on the hood scoop, fog light surrounds, mirror covers and roof rails. The cover for the spare wheel looks very attention-grabbing with its Jimny Street graphics and the Japanese ‘Kyo’ kanji, which is a term for the country’s former imperial capital Kyoto. The orange accents are carried over to the cabin as well. The Jimny limited edition also comes with some new features like ESC, tyre pressure monitoring system, eco-leather seats and an infotainment system with a 7-inch screen along with Bluetooth and satellite navigation.

The Suzuki Jimny continues to be powered by the same 1.3-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine churning out 85 PS of power. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with low range and four-wheel-drive. There were speculations about Maruti Suzuki launching the Jimny in India but it seems that it is not going to happen in the near future since the company is focussing on other SUVs (S-Cross, Vitara Brezza) for the domestic market. The Jimny Street is priced at $22,425 which translates to Rs. 14.30 lakhs.
