In the video, the Altroz hatchback is seen undergoing a series of daunting agility tests. The Altroz’s braking abilities are highlighted in the video under heavy braking. The car is seen to come to a standstill pretty soon under heavy braking and is also tested on wet roads, where under sudden braking the car does not swerve from its path. Also, the handling of the car is showcased as we see it going through slalom test on the track.

The Altroz is underpinned by the ALFA architecture and carries the IMPACT 2.0 design theme. The new hatch from Tata features a wide grille, humanity line, sharp LED headlamps, rising window line, pillar mounted door handles along with dual-tone alloy wheels. The car is loaded on safety features and comes with airbags, front seat belt reminder, rear parking assist and parking cameras and cornering assistance along with ABS and EBD.

The Tata Altroz will be offered with 3 engine options, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Tiago, that gives out 84 BHP and 112 Nm of torque, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol from Tata Nexon, that has been detuned to give out 102 BHP and 140 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine which is also be borrowed from the Nexon and is expected to churn out 90 BHP.

We expect the Altroz to be priced under the Rs. 10 lakh bracket. When the hatchback is launched, it will go up against the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz.
