Tata Falcon 4 Is Nothing But A Re-Engineered Vista!

The Tata Indica has been on sale since 1998 and even though Tata Motors kept making small changes to the design every now and then, it was getting too boring now. To create some excitement to its line-up, Tata Motors is developing two new vehicles called the Falcon 4 and the Falcon 5. These vehicles are going to be showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Falcon 4 (codename for the Vista Revamp) is not going to be an all-new car but a significantly re-engineered version of the current Indica Vista. It will be positioned as a slightly premium offering and it will also come with a new brand identity.

Some new information about the Falcon 4 has emerged and it is learnt that it will be offered at a higher price than the Vista. Tata is giving the vehicle extra damping using sound deadening material under the hood and the doors. This is being done to improve the NVH levels and provide the passengers with a silent ride which feels better than its competitors. The other significant features that Tata Motors will incorporate in the Vista Falcon 4 are –

Under the hood, the Falcon 4 will come with the 1.3-litre Fiat MJD engine that currently does duty on many cars like the Vista, Manza, Punto, Linea, Swift, Ritz, DZire, etc. Another engine that would power the car would be a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The HORIZONEXT 2020 strategy from Tata Motors aims at improving the long-term reliability of its vehicles and providing a better experience at the company’s service centres. It is going to be seen how these changes are incorporated in the customer experience of the Falcon 4.
