Tata Indica Vista Facelift Spotted Testing

Tata Motors is on a spree of facelifting their current lineup. The manufacturer is not ready to launch all new products in the market until 2015 but for the time being they believe the facelifts can work for their sustenance. Last month, the carmaker introduced 8 new product facelifts as part of their HORIZONEXT strategy. The cars yet to be updated are the Indica Vista, Manza and Aria. The Indica Vista facelift has been caught testing recently with heavy camouflage, which means the carmaker is preparing a significant change with its facelift.

The styling elements on the Vista and Manza facelift will be derived from the Manza Hybrid concept showcased at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. We have learnt from the camouflaged body that the Vista facelift has gone longer with revised front and rear bumpers. The stance of the hatchback will remain the same but it will get away with the dated soft touch styling. Instead, the new Vista will have an aggressive face with sharper headlamps and grille up front and a neat tail light cluster at the rear instead of the vertical shaped tail lights.

The interiors of the facelift can be seen with more features and updated styling. Slight changes under the hood are also expected on the Vista facelift. Engine and transmission is likely to get tweaked for better performance and NVH levels. Tata Motors is expected to launch the updated Indica Vista at the 2014 Auto Expo, early next year. Expect it to be priced similarly as the current model. According to the HORIZONEXT strategy, we can see all new models rolling out from the Tata stable starting from 2015.
