Tata Nexon Spotted In An Unusual Paint Shade, Looks Toned Down

The spotted car in the new shade

Tata Nexon Calgary White now has more white panels than before, looks like a cost-cutting measure

Tata Nexon is available in 7 shades and Calgary White is among them. But, now, we have come across a Nexon pictured above with an unusual white shade. It’s private car and when we checked the registration details, we came to know it’s just over a couple of months old.

The registration data says it’s the same Calgary White currently on sale. It looks toned down a bit with the window-line trims, roof rails, and the rear X-factor finished in the body colour.

When we dug deep into the web, we came to know that Tata Motors has, indeed, silently updated the colour with the said changes. The brushed silver rear skid plate and the silver lining on the reflectors have been retained though.

The rest of the car seems unchanged and this move might have come to cut costs or to bring in a fresh appeal to the buyers. Earlier, the now-whitened trims used to get contrast grey finish for differentiating between the body panels and the piano black touches.

The website has not been updated with the new shade yet

The country’s highest selling SUV continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine mated either to a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

It rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, etc.

Tata Motors is also testing the CNG kit on the Nexon and might launch new CNG variants soon. With soaring fuel prices, people are already on the lookout for alternate fuels. Currently, there are very few cars with the option of CNG.
