Tata Tiago JTP Spied Testing In India

For the very first time, the Tata Tiago JTP has been spied testing in India.

The company is yet to disclose the performance figures of the Tiago JTP

The Tata Tiago JTP has been spotted testing in India for the very first time. The performance hatchback is expected to be launched in the country by the festive season this year.

Tata Motors announced its partnership with the Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotives called JT Special Vehicles Pvt Ltd. This is a 50:50 JV. The Tiago and the Tigor JTP versions were showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year. The spotted test mule wears a camouflage for the front bumper. It is expected to get a tweaked bumper with a small vent on the bonnet. Though the vehicle is expected to get new alloy wheels, the side profile will remain vastly similar to the regular Tiago.

The interior gets an all-black theme. The Tiago JTP gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats with contrast red stitching, aluminium pedals and a Harmon infotainment system. The JTP version of the Tiago draws power from a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110 PS and 150 Nm of torque. The powertrain comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Suspension is also likely to be retuned.
