Overall sales sales of the bikes in this list grew by 76 percent year-on-year

On top of the 150cc bike sales list for January 2021 sits the Bajaj Pulsar 150, defeating its rival from TVS by a considerable margin.

While the Pulsar found 32,460 takers, the entire Apache RTR series of motorcycles could only fetch 28,456 unit sales, and contend with second position in the list.

Honda’s Unicorn moves back to third place once again in January, after briefly falling to fourth spot in December last year. The Japanese motorycle found 25,799 takers.

The next 3 spots are occupied by products from Yamaha. The FZ range took fourth position with 21,496 units, followed by the popular R15 (8408 units) and the MT-15 (6168 units), which has been finding good response from the buying public of late.

Seventh position was bagged by Hero MotoCorp’s Xtreme, for it found 5443 takers. The exact contribution of the Xtreme 200S in this figure is not known.

But, we can expect the Xtreme 160R to have fetched a good figure, possibly more than the Honda Hornet 2.0 that comes next in the list with 4709 unit sales.

Ninth position in the 150cc bike sales list of January 2021 goes to the Bajaj Avenger Street 160 (3092 units), while the final position is taken by the Suzuki Gixxer with 2540 unit sales of which were sold in the first month of the year.

With a healthy growth rate, products in this segment are poised to continue selling solid numbers in the months to come.

Despite coming in last, it is the Gixxer that recorded the highest growth rate (4880 percent) of the lot
