Scooters are continuing to find a good number of takers

Scooter sales remained strong in March 2021 with top 10 selling scooters recording over 4.22 lakh unit sales. It was the Honda Activa which once again topped the sales charts, having found 1,99,208 buyers this past month.

The TVS Jupiter which once again occupied second place in the March 2021 scooter sales chart was ridden home by 57,206 individuals.

Third placed Suzuki Access 125 was not far behind with 48,672 unit sales, while the Pleasure+ came next as Hero MotoCorp retailed just over 28,500 units of the scooter.

In fifth place came the NTorq 125 from TVS with 26,851 unit sales, followed by the Honda Dio with 22,677 units to its name.

Seventh-placed Destini 125 from Hero found 14,044 takers this past month, while the Suzuki Burgman Street that trails the Hero scooter occupied the eighth position with 9037 unit sales.

In the final 2 positions sit the Yamaha RayZR and Hero Maestro Edge, which witnessed 8272 and 8005 unit sales, respectively.

Scooters such as Jupiter (172 percent), Pleasure+ (105 percent), NTorq (192 percent) and Maestro Edge (126 percent) recorded strong year-on-year (YoY) sales growth.

On the contrary, only the Yamaha RayZR (-31 percent) and Honda Dio (-23 percent) witnessed their sales figures drop in comprison with the same period the year before.

In all, as mentioned above, the scooters in the list cumulatively saw 4,22,488 unit sales in March, which was a 72.5 percent YoY growth.
