Growing on the success of the Fortuner, Toyota plans to introduce a compact SUV in India.

The C-HR is based on a completely new platform called the TNGA

The Toyota C-HR is a 5-door crossover that competes with entry-level SUVs or compact SUVs. The launch of this car might take place somewhere in 2018 in India. This car is based on Toyota’s brand new platform the TNGA, which it shares with the new Prius. The C-HR will be the first car from this all-new platform to be made in India.

On the inside it feels like the most premium Toyota to be made till date. The interiors look top notch. The dashboard looks futuristic. The car looks very spacious from the inside and it should accommodate 5 people without much fuss. Toyota has promised that the C-HR will exceed expectations and will be an exciting product.

The car is going to be fun to drive and you can expect the dynamics to be excellent. The engine line-up is still unclear but it is likely that Toyota will offer a turbocharged petrol engine too. The automaker has said on numerous occasions that they wish to deliver nice cars and not just volume-makers.
