Toyota Fortuner TRD Limited Edition Launched, Priced From Rs. 34.9 Lakhs

The Japanese carmaker has tried to make the SUV look and feel sportier

Toyota has launched the Fortuner TRD Limited Edition in India with a price tag of Rs. 34.98 lakhs for the 4×2 AT diesel. The 4×4 version of the car has been priced higher at Rs. 36.88 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).

Available only in the above mentioned models, the Toyota Fortuner TRD price is higher than even the top-most diesel variant of the SUV by a considerable margin. However, Toyota has given the limited edition model more goodies to justify the price tag.

Exterior differences on the SUV are – TRD radiator grille garnish in red, TRD logo (again in red) at the back with a stylish bumper, auto folding ORVMs, dual-tone roof and 18-inch charcoal black alloy wheels.

New features on the Fortuner TRD limited edition that are offered inside include a dual-tone dashboard, black and maroon leather seats with red stitch accents, 360-degree panoramic view multi terrain monitor and illuminated sill plates.

Several more accessories are also available at dealerships under the “Special Technology Package”. When choosing the pack, customers will get a Heads Up Display (HUD), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Fortuner logo door illumination, rear wireless smartphone charger, digital video recorder and an air ionizer.

No other changes have been made to the Fortuner in terms of features and the above mentioned list is in addition to the standard features offered on the car. Powertrain option, as mentioned above, is limited to only one. So, customers will get the 2.8-litre diesel that produces 177 PS and 450 Nm with the SUV.

Bookings are open at dealerships across the country for the SUV. If the Toyota Fortuner TRD price seems high, then blame the BS6 update that saw the SUV get dearer by close to Rs. 50,000.
