The Toyota Innova HyCross facelift has been spotted undergoing road tests in India for the first time, offering an early glimpse at the MPV’s updated design. Although the test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, several styling revisions could be identified, suggesting Toyota is preparing a mid-cycle refresh for the Innova HyCross. The updated model is expected to arrive in India in 2027.
The spy images indicate that the facelifted Innova HyCross will receive a redesigned front fascia. A revised grille with a squarer appearance, updated front bumper and slimmer headlamps with new projector units appear to be among the visual changes. While the camouflage conceals finer details, the overall front-end design seems to have been refreshed.
From the side, the MPV looks largely unchanged. The alloy wheel design appears to be carried over from the current model, while the pronounced wheel arch cladding remains intact. At the rear, however, the test mule seems to feature updated LED taillight elements. Other visible exterior details include a roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper and shark-fin antenna.
Although the cabin was not visible in the spy photographs, the facelift is expected to receive subtle interior revisions. Toyota could introduce new upholstery, trim finishes and updated cabin materials to give the interior a fresher appearance. Whether the facelift will also bring additional comfort or technology features remains to be seen.
Mechanically, no major changes are expected. The Innova HyCross facelift is likely to retain the existing powertrain lineup, comprising a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 173 HP paired with a CVT automatic transmission, alongside a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain generating a combined 184 HP and mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
Toyota typically introduces mid-life updates around four years after a model’s launch. Since the Innova HyCross made its India debut in late 2022, the facelift is expected to be launched sometime in early 2027.
