TVS Raider 125 Update To Launch Soon, Will Receive Several Functional Upgrades
TVS will soon update its popular 125cc commuter motorcycle, the Raider 125, for the Indian market. TVS plans to give the bike several functional upgrades. These enhancements aim to improve safety and styling.
Design Changes & Feature Enhancements
Dealers have confirmed that the updated Raider 125 will have a rear disc brake. This will be a segment-first feature. TVS will also offer a single-channel ABS and a new paint scheme.
The base drum variant currently misses out on a front disc brake. Higher variants already have one. TVS is now targeting improved safety across trims.
Current rules mandate ABS only for bikes above 125cc. Sub-125cc models must use CBS. From 2026, all motorcycles may need ABS.
Outlook
TVS seems to be preparing for this regulation through the Raider update. The update could increase the price of the motorcycle. However, we expect the price hike to remain minimal to retain value-conscious buyers.
