TVS Motor Company has brought back the TVS iQube S to its electric scooter portfolio, this time with a larger 4.7 kWh battery pack. The updated model is priced at Rs. 1.37 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi, including applicable subsidies), and effectively replaces the earlier iQube S variant that featured a smaller 3.5 kWh unit.
The reintroduction comes after the iQube S briefly disappeared from the brand’s official lineup, leading to speculation around its discontinuation. With the updated version, TVS has positioned the iQube S as a mid-spec offering between the standard iQube variants and the higher-end iQube ST.
The new battery pack delivers a claimed IDC range of 175km, representing a notable improvement over the outgoing version. However, the larger battery also contributes to an increase in kerb weight, with the scooter now weighing 128.8 kg. This places it above the base iQube trims but still below the top-spec ST variant in terms of weight.
On the mechanical front, the scooter remains unchanged. It continues to use an electric motor producing 4.4kW of peak power, enabling a claimed top speed of 82 km/hr. Acceleration figures remain consistent as well, with a 0-40 km/hr sprint time of 4.3 seconds.
Charging time has seen a marginal improvement, with TVS claiming that the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in around four hours. This makes it relatively quicker to replenish compared to some of the smaller battery variants in the iQube lineup.
In terms of aesthetics, the updated iQube S introduces two new colour schemes—Magnificence Purple Beige and Harlequin Blue Beige—alongside the existing Titanium Grey Matte option.
With this update, the iQube range now spans multiple battery configurations. The entry-level iQube is offered with 2.2 kWh, 3.1 kWh and 3.5 kWh battery options, while the iQube S sits above it with the new 4.7 kWh pack. The range is topped by the iQube ST, which comes equipped with a larger 5.3 kWh battery.
