TVS has wowed us with a cruiser bike called the Zeppelin concept at the 2018 Auto Expo. TVS calls it the Pro Cruiser. A rival to the Bajaj Avenger 220, Suzuki Intruder 150 and the upcoming UM Duty 230, the Zeppelin boasts of many segment-first features and looks like its rivals are getting ready to have one heck of a time when it heads into production post-2019.

The Zeppelin is powered by a 220cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled and fuel-injected engine (with E-Boost, basically an electric motor) that develops 20 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 18.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Underpinnings include inverted front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is via a 300 mm and 240 mm petal disc at the front and rear respectively. Dual-channel ABS is also seen on the bike.

Other highlights of the cruiser bike are LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED turn indicators, petaled spoke alloy wheels (look closely on the wheels), adjustable brake and clutch levers, toothed belt drive, keyless go, HD camera (front mounted), Bio-key start, E-boost start switch and a single-arm rear mudguard hugger with number plate holder. It remains to be seen how many of the features will be offered in the final production bike and we just hope the HD camera and dual-channel ABS makes it to the production bike.

The Zeppelin concept bike gets a seat height of 725 mm and tips the scales at 168 kgs.
