Upcoming 2018 Benelli 400cc Bike To Rival KTM Duke 390

Benelli TNT 25 Test Ride Review

In addition to the launch of the Leoncino and TRK 502, Benelli has also planned to launch a 400cc bike that will rival the KTM Duke 390.

The Benelli TRK 502 is expected to be launched in India in 2018

While DSK Benelli recently launched the 302R entry-level full-faired sports bike in India, priced at Rs. 3.48 lakhs (ex-showroom), it also has a slew of new launches planned for the near future.

While we are aware that the Leoncino and TRK 502 are being readied for the Indian market, a top executive at DSK Benelli also revealed that they are working on a 300-400cc street-fighter with a single-cylinder engine. Benelli also tells that this motorcycle will debut at the 2018 Auto Expo.

The upcoming 300-400cc motorcycle is being specifically developed for the Indian market and will receive inputs from DSK’s R&D department. The motorcycle will be manufactured in India and is currently under the homologation and certification process. There are speculations that this new 300-400cc street-fighter could borrow design cues from the TNT 750 GS and could feature a trellis frame from the 302R.

However it’s too early to comment about this motorcycle, meanwhile, Benelli is targeting the KTM Duke 390 with this upcoming 300-400cc motorcycle. Prices for this upcoming bike can be expected to be in the vicinity of Rs. 2.4 – Rs. 2.8 lakhs (ex-showroom). It remains to be seen how Benelli will position and price this upcoming 300-400cc street-fighter while it already has an entry level single-cylinder 250cc offering in the form of the TNT 25.
