VLF Tennis 1500 Updated, Gets Increased Range & Features
VLF India has launched an updated version of the Tennis 1500. Notably, the ex-showroom price remains unchanged at Rs. 1.30 lakh. The latest model gets added features and increased range.
Styling
Visual changes are minimal but a few changes help to maintain the scooter’s modern appeal. There are two new paint options, i.e. Slate Blue and Ebony Black. The frame continues to be a high-tensile tubular steel unit, designed by Italian engineer Alessandro Tartarini.
Battery Range
The VLF Tennis 1500 now offers a 150 Km range (IDC), an increase of 20 km over the outgoing model. This improvement comes with no additional weight, retaining the scooter’s agility. The battery is now an LMFP unit with an aluminium casing for improved thermal durability.
Suspension & Braking
There is a telescopic fork at the front and a hydraulic shock with cantilever linkage in the rear. There are front and rear disc brakes with CBS for balanced stopping power when it comes to braking.
Features
A new addition is a mobile charging outlet offered as standard for added convenience during travel. Eco, Normal, and Sport modes remain available, adjusting throttle and top speed based on usage.
A 5-inch colour TFT screen continues to provide key riding information in a vibrant format. Other features include LED lighting, keyless start, and side stand motor cut-off. The under-seat compartment still offers 18 litres of space for daily storage needs.
Outlook
This announcement comes ahead of the VLF Mobster, a petrol-powered scooter expected during the upcoming festive season. VLF headquarters in Kolhapur and expanding its dealer network across the country. With steady product development, VLF is positioning itself strongly in the evolving Indian mobility market.
