Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Spotted Testing, Features Revised Front & Rear Styling
A facelift for the Volkswagen Taigun has been spotted testing, marking the SUV’s mid-life update. The test mule reveals key changes made to the brand’s compact SUV. The facelift is expected to bring a more competitive package against stiff competition from the likes of Hyundai, Kia and Maruti.
Styling Changes
It appears that there is a revised front and rear styling. The headlights and tail lights resemble the bigger Tiguan R-Line. These updates align the Taigun with the brand’s global design language.
Interior Changes
We expect the cabin to gain minor feature additions and fresh trim options. However, the overall layout is expected to remain largely unchanged. The update focuses more on aesthetics and equipment rather than an extensive cabin redesign.
Engine Options
Mechanically, the Taigun will continue with its 1.0-litre turbo and 1.5-litre turbo engines. Both engines retain manual and automatic options. No performance upgrades shall happen in this facelift.
Outlook
This will be the only major update for the current-generation Taigun. A new-generation model will launch in 2027. The lineup could potentially include a three-row version, CNG option, and even an EV alternative.
