The Volkswagen Tiguan will arrive in May and the SUV’s brochure list has already been leaked well ahead of its launch.

The Tiguan will come in 2 variants, Comfortline and Highline

The Tiguan SUV will be launched in the coming few weeks and the equipment list of the car has been leaked. The dealer training too has commenced across India. Talking about the leaked images of the brochure, the list goes on and on. Volkswagen has packed this SUV with a multitude of features. Well, let us take you through them, shall we?

The SUV comes in two variants – Comfortline and Highline. On the outside, the Comfortline gets 17-inch alloy wheels while the Highline gets 18-inch alloy wheels. The Comfortline misses out on the sunroof, chrome inserts on the bumpers, illuminated front scuff plates, push button start and easy-open tailgate with delayed closing function.

Both the variants get LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, roof rails, 3-zone air-conditioning, leather-wrapped flat bottom steering wheel, heated front seats, driver’s seat with memory function and leather-wrapped gear shift knob. There’s pretty much everything on the inside that a vehicle in this segment should offer.

On the safety front, the Comfortline again misses out on self sealing tyres and reverse parking camera. Both the variants get ABS, front and rear disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, front and curtain airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear park distance control, etc.

The SUV will be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 190 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. This engine will come paired to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle-shifters. Volkswagen dealerships have started taking bookings for the SUV for a minimum amount of Rs. 1 lakh. Prices are expected to start at around the Rs. 25 lakhs.
