Yamaha XSR 155 gets new Metallic Black shade, prices updated
Yamaha Motor India has introduced a new Metallic Black colour option for the XSR 155 shortly after revising the motorcycle’s prices. The addition expands the overall palette to five shades and brings a slight reshuffle to the variant-wise pricing structure.
The new Metallic Black finish is priced at Rs. 1,58,990/- (ex-showroom), placing it at the higher end of the XSR 155 range. It shares this price tag with the Greyish Green Metallic option. Meanwhile, Metallic Blue remains the most affordable shade in the lineup at Rs. 1,49,990 (ex-showroom). Prices continue to vary depending on the chosen colour.
Notably, both Metallic Black and Metallic Blue feature golden upside-down (USD) front forks, distinguishing them visually from the other paint options. Apart from the cosmetic update and price revision, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged.
The XSR 155 continues to be powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The motor produces 18.3 HP and 14.2 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch.
Underpinnings include Yamaha’s Deltabox frame, an aluminium swingarm, 17-inch wheels, a USD front fork and a rear monoshock. In terms of safety, the bike comes with dual-channel ABS and traction control as standard.
With no changes to the engine or hardware, the latest update is limited to an additional paint scheme and revised pricing, giving buyers a wider choice within the neo-retro segment.
