Benelli BN302 Is A Very Desirable 300cc Bike

Benelli has unveiled its new entry-level motorcycle, BN302. It is compact in size and is targeted at the young audience and new riders. The styling has been derived from the bigger Benelli BN600. The design elements are muscular and sturdy but the bike maker has managed to make it a compact motorcycle. Powering the Benelli BN302 is a 300cc, parallel-twin engine, fed by a fuel injection system. The engine produces a maximum power output of 37 HP at 11,500 RPM and peak torque of 27.1 Nm at 9000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The Italian motorcycle maker claims that the Benelli BN302 is agile and responsive enough to conquer congested city drivability. The bike is sculpted on a steel trellis frame. The suspension setup consists of 41 mm inverted hydraulic-damping front fork and shock absorber with spring preload adjustment at the rear. For effective braking performance, the Benelli BN302 comes with twin 260 mm disc brakes at the front and a single 240 mm disc brake at the rear.

The Benelli BN302 features 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 120/70 tyres at the front and 160/60 tyres at the rear. The entry level Benelli comes with a relatively big fuel tank capacity of 17-litres. The weight and dimension details are yet to be revealed and the prices of the new Benelli BN302 will be announced during its launch around mid-2014. It will be launched initially for the European market and later follow into other countries. The BN302 will be available in orange and white colour options. We don’t expect Benelli to hit our shores soon but the demand for this segment in India has begun on full steam.
