2015 Toyota Camry Facelift Spotted In India, Launch On 30th April

The Toyota Camry facelift gets visual updates sporting the new front fascia with loads of chrome that will also extend to the Camry Hybrid version with the launch scheduled for next month.

The Camry facelift gets a chrome induced front fascia that looks premium and young

Unveiled at the Moscow International Motor Show in August last year, Toyota India has brought in the 2015 Camry facelift for the Indian market that was spotted by our reader Nikhil Gogna completely undisguised. Getting a host of aesthetic upgrades, the Camry facelift features a revised front fascia with the sleek new chrome grille that replaces the outgoing Lexus-like unit and is flanked by the slender looking headlights with projector headlamps. The redesigned large lower grille gets chrome bezels encompassing the foglights. Compared to the Russia-spec version, the grille gets marginally different elements while the bumper integrates LED DRLs and turn indicators.

The side profile remains unchanged on the new Toyota Camry facelift, whereas the rear gets an added chrome garnish on the boot-lid adding a premium touch to the extremely spacious sedan. On the inside, the facelift retains the overall layout from the outgoing version but gets a new 6.1-inch display screen, a new backlight on the instrument panel with a 4.2-inch TFT screen and a restyled multi-function steering wheel. While the international spec model gets wireless charging, automatic beams and heated seats, it still needs to be seen which of these features have made it to the Indian model. The quality as always will be top-notch inside the cabin.

The powerplant on the 2015 Toyota Camry facelift remains the same with the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing around 181 PS and 233 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The changes will extend to the Camry Hybrid as well but with a host of blue accents on the logos and the ‘Hybrid Synergy Drive’ badge on the front fender and the boot-lid. Expect to see a marginal pricing revision on the Camry facelift as the model is ready to be launched next month in the country.
