2017 Hyundai Verna Revealed, India Launch Next Year

2017 Hyundai Verna comes with major design changes inside out and a host of new features making it a more attractive sedan than before.

The new styling details of the Verna makes it look premium

The new generation Hyundai Verna has been officially revealed by the Korean carmaker in China at the 2016 Chengdu Motor Show. The sedan now gets Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, which makes it look mature just like the new Elantra but with some unique touches for a more youthful appearance. The drastic changes won’t remind you of the outgoing model from any angle.

The 2017 Hyundai Verna gets projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, new patter for alloy wheels, large hexagonal grille, LED tail lights, etc. The upcoming model is 4380 mm long, 1728 mm wide and 1460 mm tall having a wheelbase of 2600 mm. This makes the sedan longer and wider than the current generation Verna.

The increase in dimensions have added more space inside, which was lacking for the rear passengers in the current model. The dashboard is well designed and looks inspired from the new Elantra. The centre console of the new gen Verna looks uncluttered and simple having a big 8-inch touch screen infotainment system that is expected to come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In terms of powertrain, Hyundai will be offering the Verna in India with the existing lineup of 4-cylinder 1.6-litre and 1.4-litre diesel and petrol engines with manual and automatic transmission options. As is the case with the new products of Hyundai, we expect the carmaker to improve the ride and handling of the upcoming Verna.
