2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Unveiled, Accessories Revealed

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been showcased at the Indonesia International Motor Show, MUV underpins a new platform.

The second-generation Ertiga is available in 4 variants in Indonesia – GA, GL, GX and GX ESP

Wraps from the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been taken off at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). The MUV underpins the HEARTECT platform and comes powered by a new petrol motor. The new Ertiga is expected to be launched in India in August 2018.

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga measures 4395 mm in length, 1735 mm in width and 1690 mm in height. While the wheelbase (2740 mm) is identical to that of the previous model, ground clearance witnesses a reduction from 185 mm to 180 mm. The front fascia looks bold and aggressive thanks to the new hexagonal chrome grille, projector headlights and the sculpted bumper. The vehicle runs on 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185-section tyres. The MUV gets a floating roof effect and L-shaped LED tail-lights, both of which are reminiscent of its rival, the Mitsubishi Xpander.

The second gen Ertiga gets a completely new dashboard. Though the multi-function steering wheel and the instrument cluster are similar that of the Maruti Dzire, the Ertiga gets a beige coloured steering wheel as opposed to the black unit in the Dzire. A faux wood trim separates the top dash from the bottom and a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system flanked by large black bezels sits flush in the centre console. The MUV still misses out on automatic climate control.

The company has also listed out some accessories for the new Ertiga. The accessory list includes fog lamps, rear parking camera, door visor, rear upper spoiler, rear bumper scuff plate, seat cover, door sill guard, touchscreen infotainment system with a piano black finish, anti-allergen AC filter, luggage tray, cargo net and a seatbelt pad.

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes powered by a brand new K15B 1.5-litre VVT four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104.7 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 138 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. Transmission options remain the same as before and include a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT. Suzuki claims a mileage of 18.06 km/l for the manual transmission variant and 16.73 km/l for the automatic transmission variant. The new 1.5-litre petrol replaces the 92 PS 1.4-litre petrol engine.
