Honda Commences Bookings For Petrol-Only Jazz Facelift

Changes have been made to the car to make it look sportier than the pre-facelift model

Honda Cars India has commenced bookings of the 2020 Jazz and customers can book the car for a token amount of Rs. 21,000/- at the dealership or for Rs. 5000/- online through the “Honda From Home” platform.

According to the Japanese carmaker, the refreshed Jazz has been built to offer sporty new styling, class-leading packaging, advanced technology and an experience that is a class above.

Facelifted for the 2020 model year, the new Jazz will come with design changes on the outside such as gloss black grille with chrome accents, LED headlamps with DRLs, new LED fog lights and a new bumper upfront.

At the rear, there is a new LED “Wing Light” and a new bumper. Overall, the hatchback has been designed to look sportier than the pre-facelift model.

Another change the 2020 Honda Jazz will come with is a one-touch electric sunroof that Honda says is unique to the segment. Other features to be offered on the car will be cruise control, smart entry and push button start/stop system.

Powering the new Jazz will be a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that will be mated to a manual or CVT transmission and the latter will come with paddle shifters.

There is no diesel engine option with the Jazz and the reason for that, according to Honda, is that customers showed strong preference towards the petrol model.

Also, Honda say, the CVT variants accounted for almost 70 percent of total Jazz sales in the market last year.

While 2020 Honda Jazz bookings have begun, launch of the hatchback will take place later this month.
