2020 Honda Jazz To Come With Hybrid Only Powertrain

The 2020 Honda Jazz will get a hybrid powertrain and could later be introduced with an all-electric drivetrain.

The upcoming Honda Jazz will get many major changes

The 2020 Honda Jazz has been spotted undergoing testing and the next generation of the premium hatchback is likely to come with only a hybrid powertrain. Later on, the vehicle might also get a full-electric drivetrain.

The vehicle was spotted testing in Europe and it now gets a redesigned front fascia with bigger headlights which sit beside the new grille. Moving to the rear end of the vehicle, it gets a new curvier design with newly designed taillights. Additionally, spy shots also feature two different test vehicles as one of them has roof rails and side cladding, suggesting it could be a higher variant of the upcoming car.

Coming to the interiors, the images reveal a new design for the steering wheel with steering mounted controls and an infotainment system which could also support touchscreen feature. The knobs under the infotainment system hint at the inclusion of climate control in the upcoming vehicle.

The upcoming Honda Jazz is expected to break cover at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. It is expected to get a hybrid powertrain along with conventional engine options upon its launch in the next year. The hybrid powertrain of the upcoming jazz could use a 1.5-litre engine along with two electric motors. The current generation of the Honda Jazz in India gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine which makes 98.6 BHP and 200 Nm of torque and a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 88.7 BHP and 110 Nm of torque. However, the powertrain options could likely change. Honda could also introduce an all-electric version of the Jazz at a later stage which will reportedly have a 300 kms driving range.
