We had heard news of Kawasaki developing the new ZX-25R in the past and now, at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show, the manufacturer has showcased this motorcycle. Parked near the Z H2, the ZX-25R does look very cool and like usual Kawasaki fare, it comes with sporty styling elements.

This motorcycle features Kawasaki’s new design language similar to the ZX-6R and Ninja 400. However, the ZX-25R does get a sharper tail. It comes with a Showa SFF-BP fork and a back-link rear suspension. It also gets Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Quick Shifter and power modes.

Powering this Kwacker is a 249cc, inline-4, DOHC, liquid-cooled powerplant. The company hasn’t revealed the power and torque figures yet but it could produce upwards of 50 HP. The pricing of the Kawasaki ZX-25R will be far from attractive though and it might not even be launched in India, but in global markets it will rival the Honda CBR250RR.
